Well, look what just popped into our inbox: a fresh invitation to an event with HTC and Sprint to check out its latest “collaboration” on April 4. This comes a day after some rumors suggested we could be in for a Sprint-enabled One series phone, possibly with LTE.

We got a close look at the One devices and we were particularly intrigued with the One X because it packs a ton of power in a beautiful form factor. If you look at the full invite image below, you can see how there’s an “X” in the background, so it’s a good bet that we’ll see HTC’s latest flagship.

We do know that HTC President Jason Mackenzie will be there alongside Sprint CEO Dan Hesse. Hesse’s been facing a little bit of heat lately since his deal to acquire MetroPCS was squashed by the board, so having a new halo handset should be a welcome reprieve.

The event takes place April 4 in New York and you can be sure that IntoMobile will be there.
