Samsung registers new Galaxy-series names: Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Premier and Galaxy Next

Samsung is obviously bullish on its Galaxy branded phones and tablets when it is filing for additional Galaxy trademarks with USPTO, including Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Premier and Galaxy Next. The last mentioned already exists and it’s basically the other name of Galaxy Mini used in certain markets. As for the other two brands, we’ve no idea what they’re all about, though we can guess Galaxy Premier will be reserved for a high-end product. On the other hand, these names could be reserved for carrier-branded versions of some products… or Samsung may end-up not using neither the Galaxy Grand nor Galaxy Premier – you really never know with these kind of things.

And that’s not all. Earlier this month, the Korean company filed for three other Galaxy brands – Galaxy Thunder, Galaxy Express and Galaxy Accelerate. Needless to say, we’ve no idea what they are about as well. We will keep our eyes wide open and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
