Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport reached an agreement with AT&T to provide free Wi-Fi to all visitors at the airport’s five terminals, totaling more than six million square feet of space. Starting in September, customers will be able to access the complimentary Wi-Fi service by viewing a 30-second ad for every 40 minutes of network usage.
Under the deal, AT&T’s Wi-Fi service will expand to include terminals, DFW terminal parking garages and gate accessible areas, allowing travelers to connect even while boarding and deplaning flights.
AT&T operates the largest Wi-Fi network in the U.S., providing wireless Internet access at nearly 30,000 U.S. hotspots and more than 220,000 globally through roaming agreements.
As for the DFW Airport, it’s already a geek friendly space with PCWorld ranking it as the Best U.S. Airport for Tech Travelers, and now it’s even better. 😉
