BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 beta to start rolling out in the next couple of days

RIM will soon launch a new version of its tablet OS to select users willing to experiment with the beta software. According to PlayBook product manager Michael Clewley (his tweet is here), PlayBook OS 2.1 will be pushed into beta within the next couple days. We’ve no idea what the new version of the platform brings, though the screenshot we have (pictured above) suggests users will have the ability to view their email, contacts and calendar in portrait mode and enlarge the text size. Hopefully a full change log will be released soon…

As a reminder, PlayBook 2.0 brought many enhancements, including native contacts, calendar and email.
