Android tablets are getting better and cheaper with the day. We’ve been telling you that Google and Asus may team-up on the first Nexus tablet, offering a 7-inch device for less than $200. And now we have Acer joining the low-cost tablet party.

At Computex Taipei, the Taiwanese company is showing off a sub-$200 7-inch tablet with NVidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor – Iconia Tab A110. The model which is at display comes with a front-facing camera only, 1GB of RAM, microSD memory card slot, while Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show. Moreover, it’s kinda safe to assume that $200 doesn’t get you 3G/4G connectivity, allowing you to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, instead. Still if the Iconia Tab A110 is released during the next couple of month, it could easily emerge as one of the best tablets in that price range, beating Amazon’s Kindle to the punch.

Aside from the 7-inch model, Acer also unveiled the Iconia Tab A210 which comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 pixels screen, while the rest of the guts is unchanged.

We’ve no idea when these babies will be launched in the west and can only hope that will happen sooner rather than later…
