ABT Electronics has sent out an email that is causing a stir among prospective Google Nexus 7 tablet owners. According to the communication, shipments of the Nexus 7 have been delayed by the FCC. A reason for the delay is not given. The email does not give a new shipping date, it only says “we [ABT] would receive them as soon as they [Google] started shipping.” This email has not been verified, but it does coincide with other customer reports that shipments have been delayed, says Laptop Magazine.

Update: An update from TechnologyTell, Android Police and Ars Technica confirms that the Nexus 7 tablet is shipping as expected. The delay mentioned above is apparently an error.

It says so when you call Google’s support line. It’s not being delayed.
