Jump Games teamed-up with Playtone to launch the official mobile application for Tom Hanks’ multi-dimensional animated series, Electric City. Available for iOS and Android devices, the application comes with all available episodes from the sci-fi adventure series, an original RPG, digital comic books that talk about the founding of Electric City, behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and other exclusive content. Electric City, for those of you who don’t know, is a 90-minute series debuting on Yahoo! Screen today.

It depicts a dystopia world, with the Electric City standing as a symbol of peace and security. However, under the veneer of order lies a world full of secrets and violence. Secret police, back-alley dealings, daring chases and murder all find a home in the City, indirectly touching upon relevant global issues and themes like energy consumption, freedom of information, crime and punishment, and more.

As for that RPG game, you will step into the role of a key character from the series (Frank Deetleman) as he attempts to undermine the control of the Electric City and restore freedom to its people. Expect high-end graphics, fast-paced action and a rich storyline…
