We’ve first heard about ZTE Chaser back in December 2011. Now it’s live at Virgin Mobile’s website from where you still can’t get it. It’s out of stock and we’re not sure when you’ll actually be able to get one.
In case you wonder, we’re talking about an entry-level Android smartphone that could be yours for $79.99. It has an 800MHz single-core processor, 3.2-inch screen (most likely HVGA), 3G (EV-DO) and Wi-Fi radios, 3-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth, 1,450 mAh battery and a memory card slot (2GB microSD card comes preinstalled). Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.
Of course, you’ll also need to buy some minutes and texts with the phone and Virgin Mobile suggests its Beyond Talk Plans that start at $35 per month…
In a nutshell, the Virgin Mobile Chaser is made for folks who don’t need a high-end smartphone and don’t want to sign carrier contracts… You can check it out from here.
