Oovoo, a popular video chat service, has updated its iPhone and Android app with four-way video chat capabilities. Not too long ago, the company added Facebook video chat to its list of features. The update brings its mobile application up to speed with its desktop and iPad offerings. Now users will be able to not only chat with twelve people at once, but see four of their friends’ video streams all at once. This does away with the last edition which limited folks to being able to view just one other user’s video stream at a time. The new feature lets you swap which four video streams you’d like to see out of 12 users on a call.
Besides the four-way simultaneous chat, other features within the update included push notifications, background text chat during video calls, along with a widget and better contacts integration on Android. The app is ready to go, so hit either the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store.
