Nokia Lumia 920 to come with 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 4.5-inch HD screen, 8 MP camera and wireless charging

Tomorrow is a big day for Nokia with the Finnish company preparing to unveil its latest Windows Phone devices. We know that at least two phones will be announced – Lumia 820 (Arrow?) and Lumia 920. As you would expect, we care more about the latter model which will be Nokia’s new flagship phone. The rumor is that it will come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.5-inch HD screen, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. In addition, we’re hearing that the phone will be touted as PureView even though its camera sensor will count just 8 megapixels (as opposed to 41 or 21). However, it is said that Lumia 920 will rock some advancements in image stabilization and camera software which is always a plus, but I’m not sure it justifies the PureView name.

In the other Nokia news, we’ve also learned that both Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 will support wireless charging that could possibly (it’s not confirmed) sing along the Qi wireless power standard. If that’s true, you will be able to use either Nokia’s or some other’s Qi-based charger to add extra juice to your new Windows Phone. We’ll have all the information within a day so stay tuned. ;)

Damn, 8mp shooter. I don’t want to belive it, as there has been so much hint’s that there is coming 21mp pureview :(

Without pureview this phone has nothing special to offer, besides quite nice desing..

There is no way Nokia could have included PureView without bulking the design. Have you actually seen the 808 for example? It’s 41mp but noticeably fatter than the sleek/sexy look they were clearly going for. In fact it’s been proven with the Galaxy S3 that phone attractiveness is a huge selling point. So while I concur on being bummed about the lack of true PureView I don’t want a brick in my pocket when I can just pick up a separate high MP camera for my picture needs.

I’ll get it because I’m a sucker for WP and the pretty colors, but lack of real pureview is a major mistake and I don’t see the phone getting much traction without it.

HD screen means nothing. If you can’t report more accurately, why report vague like that :)

Could be 1280×720, 1280×768, 1280×800 or 1920×1080 or something else.

Dual core 1.5Ghz is last year’s top of the line tech, this year’s mid-level stuff.

As per usual, Nokia is trying to push over a year old hardware in the premium price category range.

    It will not work.

This will flop and Nokia will suffer again.
