iPhone app developers have been updating their apps to sing along the latest version of iOS. Now AdMob, Google’s mobile ad service, is doing the same, updating its SDK for iOS developers.

Version 6.2 of the Google AdMob SDK adopts Apple’s new Identifier for Advertising (IDFA) on devices running iOS 6. To ensure high quality ads and minimize publisher revenue impact, AdMob will be offering a single SDK — SDK 6.2 will continue to use the unique device identifier (UDID) for devices running iOS 5 and below. And once most users and apps transition to iOS 6, the usage of UDID will be phased out.

If you’re an app developer using AdMob to display ads in your apps, you’re advised to update by grabbing the latest version of the SDK from here. For full technical details of this release, check out this post on the AdMob Ads Developer Blog.
