Aside from the Samsung Galaxy S III Alpha, NTT Docomo also unveiled Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E as part of its winter device collection. What makes this Android smartphone especially interesting — aside from the top-notch specs — is the new kind of screen it uses. The so called IGZO display (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) promises higher translucency compared to regular LCDs, reducing the demand for backlighting and hence improving battery life. That screen, in case you wonder, is a 4.9-inch one with 720p HD resolution (1280×720 pixels). In addition, this beast-phone also packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, LTE connectivity, 16-megapixel camera, NFC and other “usual for Android goodies” like sensors, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and so on. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is running the show out of box but we’ve no doubts Jelly Bean update is on the way later this year (or early 2013). Unfortunately, we doubt the Aquos Phone Zeta SH-02E will ever leave the shores of Japan though we can hope…
