Samsung held a big Galaxy Note 2 event on Wednesday to celebrate the US launch of its 5.5-inch smartphone. While Sprint and T-Mobile have announced their launch details, Verizon has taken the unusual strategy of launching its pre-order page without confirming the phone’s launch details or pricing. Earlier rumors suggested Verizon would start accepting pre-orders on October 25th and right on time, the pre-order page is now live on Verizon Wireless’ website. The smartphone will cost $299 with a two-year contract or $699 for full retail. The pre-order page says the phone will ship by November 27, but this date could change once Verizon steps up and makes the Note 2 official.
