Nokia confirmed today that the Lumia 822 will land on Verizon Wireless. The handset will likely be a variant of the Lumia 820 on AT&T and will include an 8-megapixel camera with PureView technology, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and wireless charging. Olivier Puech, President of Nokia Americas said the phone is part of Nokia’s strategy to expand its brand in the US and touted the phone’s support for the Verizon’s 4G LTE network. .

Detail on the price and exact launch date are not yet know. We will have to wait for Verizon to make those details official.
