Huawei Ascend P1, which is considered a solid mid-to-high end smartphone, is now available in white in the UK. Two phone retailers are offering the device, Phones 4U and Handtec, first of which allows customers to grab it for free on a contract.
If you want to get the phone for free, you’ll have to put your signature on a two-year contract with plans starting at 25 GBP per month. That money gets you 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of monthly data. An additional 1 GBP a month will double the minutes to 600…
Alternatively, if you want just the phone, Handtec will charge you 245.99 GBP which translates into some $395. That’s kinda steep considering that the all-new Nexus 4 will cost less (though in the US).
Anyway, the Ascend P1 comes with a 4.3-inch qHD screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera on the back, 1.3MP front-facing camera, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and so on.
