Fresh off announcing all things Windows 8, Microsoft found the time to revamp its syncing application for Mac users. The Redmond based company updated the app to version 3.0, which brought a new “Windows Phone” brand name and a new icon that reflects the Windows Phone 8 Start screen.
Version 3.0 brings an improved interface that adds some much-needed features such as drag-and-drop file transfer between your phone and the desktop, updated iPhoto and Aperture support, and enhanced functionality for Macs with Retina displays. In addition, Windows Phone 8 users get to see their battery charge state and have extra ringtone capabilities. You can snatch the new Windows Phone app in the Mac App Store now.
