AT&T’s Samsung Captivate Glide is the latest phone in the carrier’s portfolio to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update. The new software is now available and you can read all about it from this page at Samsung’s website. Unfortunately, it’s not the over-the-air affair, and you’ll rather have to download some software on your PC and “manually” cram Android 4.0 to your device. It shouldn’t be hard though, as (again) you can find out from this page.
As for what to expect in this software release, there are “standard” ICS goodies like Face Unlock, a number of bug fixes, along with the ability to unlock the Captivate Glide directly to the camera, text messaging or dialer app. Moreover, some applications are most likely updated and the phone should be more stable with the new firmware version. Check it out and let us know how it works for you.
