Android 4.1.2 firmware has been leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S II. This isn’t the officially build, but it is said that most of the things are working, hinting us that the official release is imminent.

Software version I9100XXLSJ is described as stable, featuring new TouchWiz UI, Direct Call, AllShare Play, improved notification bar, Google Now, S-Cloud and Pop Up Play. In addition, Project Butter is also included in the mix to improve graphics performance…

Now we hope that the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S II will start rolling out in the next few days, but we can’t really confirm a thing at this stage. However, that doesn’t mean you should try to cram this unofficial update to your phone – we suggest waiting for few more days/weeks cause some things could always go wrong. You are free to join the discussion at XDA Developer forums, though. 😉
