The most important reason why crooks are invading your mobile device is because that’s where your money is. Today, more consumers use their mobile devices than PCs to bank online, yet less than half protect their mobile devices with even a password. Some other facts include:

  • 67 million American smartphone users skip password protection.
  • 32.5 million Americans access banking information via their mobile device.
  • 34.5 million Americans store account login information on their smartphones.

Mobile devices are today’s fraud freeway, with crooks planting malware on your smartphone or tablet to either steal your personal information, access your other systems, and/or empty your bank account… This and other details are all available from the following infographic, prepared by McAfee.
