After Apple, Microsoft and Samsung – HTC is entering the retail space, testing out the store-within-a-store concept at the giant Saturn-Markt shop in Hamburg, Germany. To be fair, the Taiwanese company already had its own stores in Asia, but this is the first time they’re doing something similar in the West. We’ll see how that will work and in the meantime folks visiting the electronics store in Hamburg can play with all of the latest HTC models, including the One X+ and Windows Phone 8X, pair them with accessories (Beats headphones and speakers), and rely on a dedicated (and well-trained staff) for help and assistance. We’re not sure moves like these will help HTC get back on the (profitability) track, but they gotta try something. Perhaps getting closer to the consumer is (at least) a part of the solution. In that sense, we may expect to see more stores (and countries) soon getting similar HTC stores. We’ll let you know if we hear something of that sort…
