Popular BlackBerry Instant Messaging app Jingu Friends recently made its way to the iOS App Store. The new iOS IM client sheds its BlackBerry Messenger roots and replaces it with support for other,third-party IM clients including WhatsApp, Kik, Hookt & LiveProfile. You can choose to chat publicly within Jingu or take the conversation private using one of the supported services mentioned above.

Jingu Friends has a clean, polished interface that doesn’t get in the way of your chats. The app features a chat stream called The Lounge that holds all incoming conversations. You can swipe left or right on a post to respond, view conversations or see the user’s profile information. You can view ongoing exchanges between other users and even start a new conversation of your own. Jingu’s free and open exchange makes it easy to meet and talk to other people.

Jingu Friends is available for free in the iOS App Store.
