We’ve already told you about the upcoming Nokia Lumia 505. Well, it’s now officially official and it’s heading to Mexico’s Telcel network. As you can figure out from the model number, it’s a low-end Windows Phone device which is somewhat similar to the Lumia 510. In that sense, it comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED screen, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera WITHOUT Carl Zeiss optics, Bluetooth 2.1 and just 4GB of built-in storage. In other words, it’s a device made for first-time smartphone buyers who don’t mind beaming their files to the cloud all the time (to clear some space).

As you would expect, this is a Windows Phone 7.8 (rather than 8.0) device and it will probably also hit some other markets — cause it’s hard to imagine Nokia prepared one device only for Mexico, no matter how fast their economy is growing these days.

Finally, it’s interesting to add that aside from the Lumia 505, the Lumia 510 will also hit the country since it also got a page at Nokia’s Mexican website.
