Previously we’ve told you that Huawei will likely unveil the Ascend P2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We’ve also told you that the Chinese company will likely make it the world’s thinnest smartphone. And now we have the first glimpse of the specs sheet, courtesy of ChinaSmartphoneReview (via HDBlog).
Apparently, the Ascend P2 sports a 5-inch 720p IPS HD screen (not full HD), quad-core K3V2 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 13-megapixel rear-camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of non-expandable storage, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 3,000mAh Li-Polymer non-removable battery. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will run the show out of box.
Of course, this is everything but official information and I can’t but notice that the battery seems too big for something that wants to be super-thin device. Perhaps Huawei found a way to make that happen, perhaps the battery doesn’t have such capacity. We’ll have to wait for another month to get all the answers…
