Verizon will soon start rolling out updates for the LG Lucid and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. The tablet is getting a small software fix that likely addresses the Exynos security bug, while also including “reduced electrical consumption when charging.”

As for the LG Lucid, it will get much more, including:

  • Enhanced customer support with Verizon Remote Diagnostics. This will improve device issue diagnosis during customer support calls, allowing Verizon personnel to remotely view the user’s device for troubleshooting, device training and application demonstrations
  • New file manager
  • “Watch & Learn” videos are now supported via streaming
  • “Guided Tour” has been renamed to “Help”
  • Flash Player (v11) has been preloaded for compatibility with ICS device and performance improvement
  • Improved voice clarity during voice calls
  • LCD backlight can be turned on with the POWER button while on a voice call

Verizon users should start getting their updates soon though because of the staged “nature” of the rollout some users may receive the new software at a later date…
