Verizon to resuscitate HTC Thunderbolt with ICS update

Wow. Just when you thought the HTC Thunderbolt was dead and gone, it has one more life. Verizon is surprising everyone by announcing that it is going to release an Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Thunderbolt. So if you happen to be one of the very few out there still rocking with Big Red’s first LTE-enabled phone, you’ll be happy to know that your time in Android 2.3 Gingerbread purgatory is ending soon.

We’ll keep you posted when Big Red decides to begin rolling out or manually make the Ice Cream Sandwich update available to handsets.

Our technology has been increased day by day. It’s a nice example of the modern technology. Thanks for post this.

  • Well I called Verizon and they confirmed That ICS is out but they are saying it will be released in waves. Come on like there are really that many Thunderbolts left out there they need to release it in waves.
