Alcatel Sparq II caught at FCC on its way to T-Mobile

Thanks to the FCC we know that T-Mobile is preparing to add a new feature phone to its portfolio – Alcatel Sparq II. As you would imagine, it’s an everything but spectacular device (it’s a feature phone, after all) that has both a numeric keypad and full side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for heavy texters on a budget. In addition, the Sparq II also comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, camera with flash, FM radio, web browser, media player and a microSD memory card slot.

As I’m writing this, we don’t know when T-Mobile (or Alcatel for that matter) will officially announced the Sparq II though I don’t see that timing has anything to do with the official launch. We’re talking about a pretty insignificant device, after all…
