Samsung keeps killing it. In the UK, three of their phones have topped the sales charts in January. The Galaxy S III is the number one selling device — the position it held for the ninth consecutive month — followed by the mid-range Galaxy Ace and Galaxy S II.

Also on the top 10 list are four Nokias, including Symbian-based Nokia 100 and C2-01 (positions four and five), and the Lumia 800 and 610 (which held positions eight and nine).

Apple’s 16GB version of the iPhone 5 was the seventh best seller with the equivalent 4S in tenth. LG scored the 6th place with Google-branded Nexus 4.

According to the top 10 list maker uSwitch, the low-end phones are there as a residual effect of gifting and January sales, with tech fans looking for sensible deals following a seasonal gadget binge.

Something tells me Samsung will remain on the top during this month with the image slightly changing in March when 5-inch smartphones start selling.
