Strategy Analytics believes Nokia won’t unveil a long-time rumored tablet at this year’s Mobile World Congress, which starts next week. According to the research company’s channel checks (conducted by the Tablet & Touchscreen Strategies service), the Finnish company’s strategy will be “smartphones first” for MWC this year.

And apparently that makes perfect sense. Nokia will rather expand its Lumia smartphone range and solidify its growing leadership of the global Windows Phone market.

While we do want to see Nokia getting back to the game, we also want to see their first Windows RT-based tablet and will be a bit disappointed if such a device doesn’t get announced in Barcelona…
