Alleged Galaxy S IV photos suggest SIII-inspired design

A series of pictures of the Samsung GT-I9502 were recently posted to a Chinese forum and spotted by Sammy Hub. An image of a Samsung phone on Chinese forums isn’t news, but these pictures are notable because they are allegedly spy photos of the Galaxy S IV for China Unicom.

The outward design of this leaked GT-I9502 looks a lot like the current Galaxy S III and the Note II. Without knowing more about the photos, it is tough to tell whether this is an early design prototype or one that is closer to the final design that Samsung will reveal later this week at its S IV big launch event.

Though the age of the images are open to interpretation, a benchmark test reveals that the innards of the leaked phone match the rumored information about the Galaxy S IV. According to the photos, the handset has an 1.8GHz processor, a 1080P display, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.2.1.

Do you think this is the Galaxy S IV we will see later this week? Or will Samsung surprise us with a radically different design?
