Bigger screens mean bigger devices. And while handset makers are giving their best to make the bezel around the screen as petit as possible to make smartphones more compact, we’re still waiting for a device with real edge-to-edge screen.
Pantech is apparently working on such a “bezel-less” product as we speak, preparing it as an answer to Samsung’s newly announced Galaxy S4.
We still don’t have all the details about the upcoming IM-A870, but we’re guessing it will be on-par with other high-end devices that will soon hit the market. In other words, we expect it to have specs that include 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 600?), a ton of built-in storage and so on. Moreover, we’re hearing it will be launched a part of the company’s Vega R series, running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of box.
The sad news is that we doubt this phone will ever leave the shores of Korean peninsula… though we can hope, right?
