With bigger screens come bigger batteries which not necessarily keep up with the modern phone’s power demands. To tackle this problem, more and more users get external batteries hoping to get the so much needed extra juice.
A new infographic prepared by Jackery, which obviously makes external mobile batteries, shows the history and trends of mobile batteries. Some of the interesting findings include:
- 2005 is the year with the longest average mobile battery life with 50 hours.
- 1995 and 2013 tie for the same average of mobile battery life with 28 hours.
- When it comes to battery life, travelers have the least luck.
- More than a third (38%) of smartphone users panic about running out of battery at least once a week.
