It was back in November of last year when we’ve first told you about the Oppo Ulike 2, a special kind of device that sports a better-than-average front-facing camera so that girls can use it instead of a mirror. Well, an improved version of that phone called Ulike 2S is in works that will keep the 5-megapixel camera on the front, while adding a bigger 5.5-inch 720p HD screen to the mix, making it that much more appealing to the ladies (or so we think). Moreover, since that kind of display requires a bigger phone body, Oppo used the OPPOrtunity to include a larger battery to the mix, which now has a capacity of 3,000 mAh. That kinda makes sense considering that the phone’s screen is the single largest energy “consumer.”
Anyhow, we don’t think you’ll be able to grab the Ulike 2S outside of China and perhaps some neighboring countries. While Oppo does offer the Find 5 in the U.S. and Europe, we doubt the company will push its entire line-up through these channels though you never know. We’re curious — presuming this phone starts selling in the West, would you buy one?
