LG to stop using the Optimus brand for high-end models?

LG may be considering to stop using the Optimus brand for high-end models, a report published on Monday says so. This, of course, is unconfirmed information and we’ll likely have to wait for LG’s next super-phone announcement, which could’ve been the Optimus G2.

We’re not sure what to think of it. We like the Optimus G and even more – the Optimus G Pro, and are pretty sure we would equally like them if they were called differently.

Perhaps it makes sense to make it obvious that some phones are better than others. Then again, all Samsung Android smartphones wear the “Galaxy” brand these days. So it could be that LG wants to differentiate itself from Samsung. We can’t be sure. If you have an idea – feel free to drop it in the comments form below. 😉
