Huawei is preparing to re-define what a mid-range device means. The company’s upcoming Honor 3 smartphone will provide quite a bang for the buck with its specs including a 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and 13-megapixel camera. Actually, it’s a high-end device by any merit; it’s just that we used to associate the Honor smartphones with mid-end of the market. That said, we tend to think this phone will be affordable, costing less than the company’s fancy-new Ascend P6. Heck I would expect it to sell for no more than 350 EUR sans any strings attached.
The problem, however, is that we have no idea when the Chinese company will officially launch the Honor 3 nor whether it will bring it to the Western hemisphere. We do hope Europe and the Americas are on their radar and that soon enough they’ll officially share some of the details we care about. More on this as soon as we have something new to add. Stay tuned…
