BlackBerry Z10 Prices Slashed Due To Weak Sales

Remember the BlackBerry Playbook? Well, it looks as though BlackBerry may have similar situation on its hands. A number of mobile carriers and re-sellers have slashed the price of the BlackBerry Z10 to $49, due to the weak sales performance of the device. AT&T and Verizon have dropped the price of the Z10 from $199 to $99, and Best Buy and Amazon now offer the handset for $49.

A price drop this significant after only a few months of launch spells trouble for the company, which went through a re-branding and reorganizing scheme back in January. BlackBerry is still pushing forward though, with the recent launch of the Q10, Q5 and the rumored A10.

Time will tell what becomes of BlackBerry, and if upcoming product launches can keep the company from sliding into oblivion.
