Mozilla is updating its Firefox Os ahead of the operating system’s launch in new countries.

Version 1.1 is said to include a number of performance improvements, including MMS support, a new push notifications API, app search and contact management enhancements.

The update is the first since Mozilla announced it will update its platform on a quarterly basis.

Unfortunately though, the company failed to mention which devices will be getting this updated version of the operating system.

In addition to developer phones made by Geeksphone, Firefox OS is also available on the low-cost ZTE Open and Alcatel One Touch, both which are readily available in a handful of countries.

When it comes to carrier partners, Mozilla’s “mobile scheme” is supported by Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom (T-Mobile) and Telenor.
