Sorry Verizon customers, it looks like you’re getting the shaft, again. Verizon will not be carrying the brand spanking new LG Nexus 5 according to a report from The Verge. This leaves Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T as the U.S. carriers that the Nexus 5 will work with at the moment.
Sundar Pichai broke the bad news to The Verge earlier today, while also revealing that Google is working on some projects with Verizon, which will arrive in 2014. He did not speculate what those projects could be, but it seems likely that those projects could be new Motorola DROID devices, or possibly a Verizon version of the Nexus 5.
The Nexus 5 can be purchased from the Google Play Store now, with Sprint and T-Mobile offering the device for sale in the coming weeks.
