LG Nexus 5 Won’t Be Available On Verizon, Surprised?

Sorry Verizon customers, it looks like you’re getting the shaft, again. Verizon will not be carrying the brand spanking new LG Nexus 5 according to a report from The Verge. This leaves Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T as the U.S. carriers that the Nexus 5 will work with at the moment.

Sundar Pichai broke the bad news to The Verge earlier todaywhile also revealing that Google is working on some projects with Verizon, which will arrive in 2014. He did not speculate what those projects could be, but it seems likely that those projects could be new Motorola DROID devices, or possibly a Verizon version of the Nexus 5.

The Nexus 5 can be purchased from the Google Play Store now, with Sprint and T-Mobile offering the device for sale in the coming weeks.

Disappointed? Absolutely! Surprised? Not in the least. Verizon cares more about their control and bloatware and less about their customers and their customers choices.

If you want a Nexus and its full experience, don’t if you have Verizon. They will find a way to ruin it with their tight grip on the phone.

I didn’t know Verizon did things like this. I will make sure never to buy a Verizon plan or recommend it to anyone.
