Alcatel is not fooling around. The three new POP S series phones are not the only thing the company wanted to unveil at Mobile World Congress; there’s a also new tablet.
While the OneTouch POP 7S is not the sexiest tablet we’ve seen to date, it will (apparently) offer quite a bang for the buck. We’re talking about an LTE-enabled 7-incher with screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels and 8.9mm-thick body. In addition, this tablet also packs dual cameras — 3-megapixel one on the back, and VGA on the front. It’s made out of plastic, the fact that helps the POP 7S weigh just 285 grams. The nice part is that Android 4.4 KitKat is running the show right from the get-go, something not many other tablets do.
It’s unclear how much TCL (owner of the Alcatel brand) will ask for the OneTouch POP 7S but I doubt it will be an expensive device. Though you never know, perhaps carriers beef-up then price when selling it to the end-users…
