Samsung was just warming up with the Galaxy Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit; the Korean giant will apparently launch another fitness device later this year. Called S Band, this will be a rather wrist-band device that doesn’t have a screen a la Gear Fit. Instead, all it offers are vibration alarms and a LED light — the former is used for alerts, while the latter will inform you about the “health” of your Bluetooth connection.
According to SamMobile, the S Band will work in conjunction with the Activity Tracker app and the new S Health app, providing users with an easy way to track their fitness activities, sleeping patterns and so on. Users will also be able to personalize their band by switching straps, which will be available in few colors such as white, yellow, orange and grey.
We’ve no idea how much Samsung will ask for the S Band but it’s clear it will be more affordable than the fancy lookin’ Gear Fit. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to get all other details, though.
