What is Nokia doing in Palo Alto next Thursday? Mobile Mash-Up 2007?

Seems like Nokia is holding an event called “Mobile Mashup 2007” where people like the founder of LinkedIn and employees from Flickr, YouTube, BluePulse, Bebo, Yahoo, Intel, HP and Oracle are going to attend. The conference agenda can be found here and surprisingly it is taking place just one day before the “Next Episode” event on the 2nd of November.

Does becoming an internet company mean buying up anyone that is trying to make a buck in the valley? Nokia has about 4 Billion Euros to burn and I hope they invest it wisely. We’re all still scratching our heads about Twango and how exactly that plays with MOSH, maybe the C level executives just want us to wait and see.

If I was leading M&A I would just buy Palm. They’re worth less than $1 Billion US Dollars, which is around 750 Euros. Joking. While you’re at it pick up Zoho, Epocware and the people who make Quickoffice.

Tero is going to be there, he is in charge of building communities, will Bluepulse be bought out?
