Alltel Social Video allows users to share and rate videos from a wide range of online outlets

Alltel WirelessAlltel Wireless partnered with provider of mobile video services Transpera to launch Alltel Social Video, a new application that allows customers to share and rate videos from a wide range of online outlets.

In order to use the new service, you’ll need video-enabled mobile phone and a willingness to pour out an additional 3 bucks on top of your monthly bill. That buys you access to videos from sources such as Break.com, the leading online entertainment channel for men; AtomFilms, one of the world’s leading brands for independent entertainment; and GrindTV.com, a site widely recognized as the top online destination for action-oriented videos and content. After viewing the videos, you have the option to rate the video or share it with friends. In addition, customers can search for videos across channels, create custom playlists and manage distribution lists…
