Verizon Wireless text messaging

Verizon Wireless is launching three new Nationwide Messaging plans to meet the needs of customers who primarily rely on messaging to communicate with others. The new plans do not require an accompanying voice plan and are available on most handsets.

All plans include unlimited text, instant, picture and video messaging, and offer per-minute voice calling rates starting from $0.25.

Messaging Plan Price/month Also included in the package Voice per minute
Consumer Devices $34.99 Mobile Web access and data usage $0.40
BlackBerry $54.99 E-mail, Web browsing and data usage $0.25
PDA/Smartphone $54.99 E-mail, Web browsing and data usage $0.25

Optionally, the “Consumer Devices” plan can be upgraded with Verizon’s Mobile Email service for an additional $5.00 per month.
