The successor to the original Wave, Samsung Wave II (S8530), is finally hitting the UK. Previously we thought it will be launched in December but obviously something went wrong when we needed to wait for an additional month.
The device is available either directly from O2 or from phone retailer Phones4U, which can hook you up with a number of contracts from Vodafone, Orange and (again) O2. You can grab the Wave II starting from free as long as you commit on a contract that costs at least 20 GBP a month.
If you recall, we’re talking about the first Samsung’s smartphone that runs Bada 1.2. Inside it’s pretty much identical to the original Wave, except that it rocks a bigger 3.7-inch WVGA display (as opposed to Wave’s 3.3-inch one). Moreover, the Wave II also comes with 3G and WiFi connectivity on board, 5-megapixel camera, 1GHz processor, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD memory card slot and so on.
