We’re sad to report UIQ Technology canceled their Fast Track events in Boston and San Francisco. Low attendance is the reason and they decided to take it easy for now.
We want to create the best environment for our developer community to meet people, interact and learn lots of new fantastic news and details and hence we’re already creating an event later in the year that you won’t want to miss! In other news, they appointed Dr. Colin Tucker to the role of Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, he held a number of high-level position such as CTO and Group Director International of Orange, Executive Director to the Board of Orange, Managing Director of 3 UK, and Deputy Chairman of Hutchison 3G. Dr. Colin Tucker was listed by the Financial Times as one of the eight key people to know in the Telecommunications sector.
In addition to his role as chairman, he will serve as a principal advisor and, together with the other Board members, “continuously assess the company’s financial standing and constructively challenge and contribute to its strategic development.”
