iPhone SDK reveals video playlists and portrait-mode video viewing

Well, look what the iPhone SDK-birdy just dropped on our laps? No, not that kind of dropping. It seems that the latest iPhone SDK build has revealed video playlists and portrait-mode video playback.

While portrait-view video playback has been possible with Quicktime embedded videos through the iPhone Safari browser, it seems that the iPhone v2.0 OS will allow for any and all videos to be played in either portrait (lengthwise) or landscape (width-wise) orientations.

Video playlists are another plus to expect from the next firmware revision from Apple. I can be annoying to have to repeatedly pick a new video to watch from your library, and video playlists should be just what the lazy video-watcher in all of us have been wanting (whether we knew it or not).

Hit up the video to see what we’re talking about.
