Chalk up another carrier-branded handset to get some Windows Mobile 6.1 OS update love. Following on the recent revelation that the Sprint Motorola Q9c would be blessed with the latest mobile OS from Microsoft’s Windows Mobile camp, AT&T has announced that subscribers with Motorola Q9h smartphones will be getting a Windows Mobile 6.1 update in the near future.
A bit of detective work has revealed that Motorola’s own website links to what is presumably a placeholder for the soon to be released Windows Mobile Standard 6.1 firmware.
We’ll keep an eye out for what has proven to be a quite-anticipated Windows Mobile OS update. For all you Motorola Q9h users out there, hang in there, WM6.1 is on the way!
