Nokia 1508

Nokia has announced a new entry-level phone called Nokia 1508. An entry-level segment usually doesn’t involve any of the interesting features and Nokia’s newest device isn’t an exception. However, this is the Finnish giant’s CDMA device and is therefor important for the company as it tries to increase its market share in the U.S.

Specs wise (we told you it’s a basic phone), the Nokia 1508 sports an FM radio and a voice recorder app that can record up to 3 minutes on a single go. The device has enough memory to store up to 500 contacts and 400 text messages.

As for the release date, users will be able to grab the latest Nokia phone somewhere in the third quarter of 2008 for next to nothing, or even for free on a contract. No carrier partners were announced, so far.
