Expansys and the i8510/N96
Expansys were kind enough to email me today to tell me about the fact they have the Samsung i8510 (8MP, 8GB) in stock, and will soon have the Nokia N96 (5MP, 16GB) also!
The handsets are being sold SIM-free, so there is obviously a premium to the price (compared to the Operators), but I’ve always found Expansys to be very competitively priced – and if you are already in contract, then clearly SIM-free is a consideration if you want the latest and greatest!
The two handsets are somewhat similar in that they are both running Series60, have high-MP cameras, and a stack of Memory – but there are subtle differences that might sway you either way, based on your preferences – my advice is always to see if you can ‘try before you buy’, but failing that, I’d say Expansys is a good place to go for service and price.
