Verizon Wireless has a brand new application called SocialLife, which acts as a mobile gateway that connects users to popular social networking sites.

SocialLife smartly and simply brings together numerous social networking sites catering to different communities, including MySpace, into one easy-to-use application. With SocialLife, Verizon Wireless customers will be able to view messages, approve or deny friend requests, post comments or update status or profiles on their favorite social networking site, all on their wireless phones while on-the-go.

In addition to MySpace, SocialLife also enables users to connect to other social networks — including AsianAve, BlackPlanet, FaithBase, GLEE, LiveJournal, MiGente, Photobucket, Rabble and MTV Tr3s. Furthermore, users can easily upload their photos directly from the application, without connecting their phone to a PC.

Intercasting’s ANTHEM platform, which is also used by Virgin Mobile USA, is running the show in the back-end.

SocialLife can be found in the “Community” section of Get It Now-enabled phones or under the “Browse & Download” section of the “Media Center” on some handsets. The application is available for $1.49 monthly access, though data charges may apply.
