AT&T: Apple iPhone On Target For Launch – Wants To Push 1 MILLION Units On Launch

ATT says iPhone will launch on time and wants 1 million sold on launchThere’s been plenty of Apple iPhone news of late. Most of it regarding @LINK0@ and delayed launch @LINK1@. But Cingular has officially put the kibosh on such rumors, with AT&T COO, Randall Stephenson, saying “Our expectations are good. Our testing has been good. The iPhone is on target to launch in June.”

When asked how many iPhones will be available on launch, Stephenson said, “We’re sorting through that right now. We got a million people waiting to buy it so we’re hoping we get a million.” That’s right, you read correctly, AT&T wants to push 1 million units on launch. These guys are either confident that all bugs on the iPhone, and that pesky FCC pass, will go according to plan, or they are grossly under-estimating the @LINK2@.

Still, we’re rooting for an on-time arrival, we just gotta have us some Apple iPhone!
